Challenge: A top music streaming app wanted to collect its users’ app ownership, bluetooth, location, and device characteristic data, but with minimal data engineering effort and storage costs.
Approach: The mobile app seamlessly installed our SDK for data collection, ingestion, and normalization, and received access to our full privacy-by-design Platform at no cost since the app was a contributor to our data co-op and integrated the TrueData SDK.
Results: The app safely collected granular data with high fidelity on its more than 1 million global daily active users, all with no ongoing overhead, in terms of engineering or server costs, and within a consent management framework. As a value-added feature, the app was able to configure the SDK to also collect in-app events and create custom, real-time audience segments, which it could visualize on the TrueData Platform and use for targeting.
